Kent started his construction career as a labor foreman at the Stroncia Springs dam. After the completion of the dam, he moved into residential construction doing exterior trim on new homes. When the housing market slowed he went to work for a property management company building out office space. Later, in 1990, Kent took a superintendent position with a general contractor specializing in tenant finish. Since he made this transition, he has continued to work on commercial projects.

Kent has worked on a wide variety of projects from the remodel of the John Elway car dealerships, to clean rooms at Lockheed Martin, to the expansion of the Aurora Animal shelter. His favorite project is the Chatfield Visitor Center.

In his free time, Kent enjoys fly fishing, golf, camping, dirt bike riding and spending time with his daughter and family.
