COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT

Mendel & Company Construction, Inc. has established, and continues to cultivate relationships within our community. We continually strive to reach out to the less fortunate through donations of time, money, and/or resources to worthwhile organizations committed to making their lives better. In 2010 we donated hundreds of hours and thousands of dollars to a variety of wonderful causes.

We look forward to reaching out to more organizations this year with more support than ever! If you would like to assist us in any of our endeavors, please fell free to contact us.

Following is a list of some of the organizations who have received help from us in the past:

    We support Project Cure

  • Habitat for Humanity. Nathan is a past board member with the Habitat Interfaith Alliance (HIA), a coalition of 13 churches and synagogues that has been coming together annually for the past 10 years to sponsor a complete house under the Habitat of Metro Denver umbrella. Nathan is still a liaison between HIA and his synagogue and helps with the annual golf tournament each summer and pumpkin patch in the fall. www.hiadenver.org

  • Temple Sinai. Nathan is a long-term board member at Temple Sinai and is the head of the Building Committee. Currently the committee is evaluating the cost/benefit of a new Preschool building (the current facility is over 60 years old). In addition, the company regularly provides labor and materials for various projects and money for myriad fundraising efforts. www.sinaidenver.org

  • Rocky Mountain Communities. In late 2010, Mendel & Company was approached by the folks at Rocky Mountain Communities and asked to build a children's playhouse that would be auctioned off for this wonderful charity. See the What's New with Mendel tab for more on this project. This playhouse will be auctioned off later this summer. www.rockymountaincommunities.org

  • Donor Alliance. M&C has partnered with Donor Alliance to raise awareness of organ and tissue donation programs in our state. Did you know that Colorado has the highest rate of donor participation in the country? www.donoralliance.org

  • Kids in Need of Dentistry (KIND). Mendel & Company has provided financial support to this wonderful cause for years and has also participated in their annual Strokes of KINDness Golf Tournament for several years. Nathan is currently seeking a position on the Board so that he can contribute further to this organization. www.kindsmiles.org

  • Day of Carpentry. Mendel & Company regularly provides a "Day of Carpentry" to a variety of causes. These days are typically auctioned off to the highest bidder at silent auctions throughout the year.
